Wandoan Power - a carbon solution

A carbon solution

Located near Wandoan in Queensland’s Surat Basin, the Wandoan Power Project is a proposed 400 MW power station using Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) with carbon capture and storage technologies.

The project would be developed by the Wandoan Power Consortium comprising global energy company, GE Energy and leading Queensland energy generator, Stanwell.

It is expected to set new standards for the technology, further secure the future of low emission coal fired generation and meet the growing demand for reliable baseload electricity.

The project will be part of a carbon solution.
